About Me

Heal the Root. Reclaim Your Story. Rediscover Who You Are Beyond the Pain.

My Clients

Addiction is rarely just about the substance. Trauma is rarely just about what happened. And healing is rarely just about stopping a behavior or managing a symptom. Most of the time, what brings someone to therapy runs much deeper a nervous system that learned to survive in impossible circumstances, a sense of self that was shaped by pain long before it had words, and patterns that once kept you safe but no longer serve who you are becoming.

I work with adults, women, and college students who are ready to stop managing the surface and start healing what lives underneath. My clients are navigating addiction recovery, childhood trauma, complex PTSD, and the deeply human struggle of trying to feel at home in their own lives in their own bodies, their own identities, and their own sense of worth.

You are not broken. You are surviving. And with the right support, surviving can become something so much more.

My Approach

I am a trauma-informed, EMDR-trained therapist with over seven years of clinical experience specializing in addiction recovery, childhood trauma, and complex PTSD. I bring a holistic, mind-body perspective to every session one that treats the whole person, not just the presenting problem.

My work is grounded in the belief that most survival-based patterns including addiction, emotional dysregulation, and self-worth struggles are not character flaws. They are adaptations. And when we heal the root experiences that created them, lasting change becomes not just possible but natural.

My integrative, mind-body approach draws from:

  • EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) — research-backed and highly effective for processing childhood trauma, complex PTSD, and the traumatic roots of addiction and survival-based patterns
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) — a powerful, compassion-based model that helps clients understand and heal the different "parts" of themselves — including the parts that drive addiction, self-criticism, shame, and emotional shutdown
  • Somatic Therapy — body-based healing that helps clients reconnect with physical sensations, release stored trauma from the nervous system, and build a felt sense of safety within their own bodies
  • Mindfulness-Based Techniques — to cultivate present-moment awareness, regulate the nervous system, and develop a more compassionate, grounded relationship with thoughts, emotions, and urges

Together these approaches create a deeply integrative healing experience one that addresses trauma, addiction, and identity not as separate problems, but as interconnected parts of one human story.

Areas of Focus

Addiction Recovery & Substance Use
Recovery is not just about sobriety it is about understanding why the substance became necessary in the first place, and building a life where you no longer need it to survive. I specialize in helping clients navigate drug and alcohol use problems, identify the underlying trauma and emotional pain driving addictive patterns, and develop the internal resources needed for sustainable, meaningful recovery. My approach treats addiction as a trauma response not a moral failing.

Childhood Trauma
The experiences of childhood leave their mark long after the years have passed in the nervous system, in relationships, in the stories we tell ourselves about who we are and what we deserve. I help clients gently and safely revisit and process early experiences using EMDR, IFS, and somatic approaches, healing not just the memory, but the identity and self-worth that formed around it.

Complex PTSD
Complex PTSD develops through prolonged or repeated trauma often beginning in childhood and can affect every dimension of life, from emotional regulation to relationships to a fundamental sense of safety in the world. I specialize in working with clients navigating the layered, often invisible effects of complex trauma, using an integrative mind-body approach that meets the nervous system where it is and heals from the inside out.

Emotional Dysregulation
When the nervous system has been shaped by trauma, emotions can feel overwhelming, unpredictable, or completely shut down. I help clients understand the roots of their emotional dysregulation, develop practical somatic and mindfulness-based regulation tools, and build a more stable, grounded relationship with their inner emotional world.

Attachment Wounds & Relational Healing
Our earliest relationships teach us what love feels like, what safety feels like, and what we are worth. When those lessons were painful, they shape every relationship that follows. Using IFS and somatic approaches, I help clients identify their attachment patterns, heal the wounds beneath them, and build more secure, authentic connections with others and with themselves.

Identity & Self-Worth
Trauma, addiction, and adverse experiences have a way of eroding the sense of self leaving clients feeling disconnected from who they are, uncertain of their value, or unable to recognize themselves in the life they are living. I work with clients to rebuild a solid, compassionate sense of identity and self-worth from the ground up one that is no longer defined by what happened to them.

Women's Mental Health
I have a particular passion for working with women navigating the intersection of trauma, identity, self-worth, and mental health including the unique pressures, relational dynamics, and systemic stressors that shape the lives and inner worlds of women. This is a space where you can show up without filters, without performance, and without apology.

College Students
The college years are among the most emotionally complex of a person's life marked by identity exploration, academic pressure, social stress, relationship challenges, and often the first unmediated encounter with mental health struggles that have been quietly building for years. I provide a grounded, nonjudgmental space where college students can process what they are experiencing, develop practical coping tools, and build the emotional foundation they need to thrive.
